I bought my Smooth Agile DMT X2 Elliptical machine in January, 2010 and I have been very disappointed with the quality, given the price that I paid ($2,000).
As with other reviewers, I found the display to be virtually unreadable. I am 5 ft. 10 ins. and the only way I could read the display was by stooping down. It is remarkable that Smooth Fitness would ship this product with such a serious design flaw.
The iPod docking station is worthless because the quality of the speakers is extremely poor. I used it once to test it and I have never used it since. This feature seems to be nothing more than a gimmick, designed primarily to persuade you to buy.
Despite all of the above, the exercise part of the machine itself worked fine for the first six months. However, a few days ago, the electrics on the display panel started going haywire. The settings started to change mid-exercise without me touching them, as if they had a mind of their own, e.g. the level of...
